UYC Launch Party

On May 3rd, 2025 we threw a party at RCHIVE Fashion Club in Toronto to mark the official launch of our first collection: YANANTIN. It didn't stop there tho. We had a listening party for our YANANTIN album, live music and dance performances, a runway show, and of course the after-party. If you were lucky enough to attend, we have a recap below for you to re-live that night. If you missed it, we're sorry for the FOMO you'll experience when scrolling. Listening Party

We wanted to surprise everyone with simulated technical issues and it went so well that they became real technical issues haha Here is a video we made for the presentation of the album. We were supposed to have an acted part afterwards, but that didn't happen as planned, so we just moved on to introducing our album collaborators: dancers, producers, artists, etc. If you want to know more about the album, check this page where you can find all the related content, such as: soundtracks, official videos, podcast, and more.

Live performances

We had live dance and music performances by some of the artists in our YANANTIN album. You can find a short summary for each performance below:

FIRST PERFORMANCE

Anezka and Marketa

Our first performance of the night was heels dance choreography by this amazing duo: Anezka and Marketa. Anezka is the dancer that inspired the creation of our first track of the album, "la demora". When she was asked to perform at the party, she took on the challenge without hesitation and brought her sister Marketa along with her. We'll leave it up to you to draw conclusions on this fire performance!

SECOND PERFORMANCE

7n and Jvshn

Our second performance was brought by 2 of the 3 artists in track 7, "phoenix". Jvshn and 7n have worked together in the past, releasing the EP "Couldn't Care Less". Jvshn (Jashan) is one of the first producers that started working with us the album. When he was told we needed lyrics, he convinced 7n (Nikhil) to join the project. The rest... you can listen to anywhere in digital platforms!
As for that night, you wouldn't think they performed live for the first time!

THIRD PERFORMANCE

Sky Entertainment

Third performance of the night was by the amazing dancers of Sky Entertainment. Jess Lee is the founder of this dance company and she is the dancer in track 7's, "phoenix". In the company's roster, you can also find our dancer Yasmin, from track 5, "fuego en la pista". Finally, the third performer in this group is the talented, Bree!
Right from the start the energy was over the roof! Judge by yourself!

FOURTH PERFORMANCE

Eme Diego and Everest

Our fourth and final performance was delivered by the rap duo of Eme Diego and Everest. El Eme (Diego) is our lyricist and vocal artist in track 3, "baile triste". Everest is Diego's friend and rap colleague. They are both experienced rappers in the Latinx scene in Toronto.
The synerge of these 2 is incredible! No nerves, just confidence on the stage!

Runway Show

Launch of the first collection and of course we had to have a runway show to present the looks. Our collection YANANTIN is inspired in the Andean concepts of the cosmovision: the duality (opposites that complement each other) and the trilogies (condor, puma, and snake). If at any moment you feel the urge to shop our pieces, here's the link to our store section. For now just know that this was no cat-walk, we had condor-walk (Héctor), puma-walk (Sheida and Roham), and snake-walk (Joanna and Marta).

After party

Hay un party después del party, que se llama el after party... That one! What happened at RCHIVE during this time, stays there. You can just get a few pics now. Next time you'll have to be there and make sure you get some pretty clear memories, because that's all you will be able to take here, cuz you'll be too busy enjoying!
